NAT (Network Address Translation) is a technique used to allow devices on a private network to access the Internet using a single public IP address. It works by modifying the source IP address of outgoing packets to the public IP address of the NAT device, and modifying the destination IP address of incoming packets to the private IP address of the device on the internal network.
